The Easies
Polly Jean meets Chan Marshal in a major blues meltdown." That pretty much describes Lipkin a.k.a DD Dagger's mix of simple guitar licks, sultry vox, and songwriting style- steeped in powerchords and blues scales. As for the revolving players in the Easies- they got soul. Bassist Jeff Linton hails from Detroit and finds solace in The Blues sounds of the 50's. Kevin Hoyas, guitar, drums, enjoys that Garage music of the 60's- The Kinks, The Who, The Flamin' Groovies.... Because Kevin works at Waterloo Records he sees his fair share of what's old & new. As for Drummer Johnny Mac- he swamped in from New Orleans and brings an extensive musical background that starts in A and ends in Z...constantly playing records on his 'ole phonograph.
